Artistic research

Statement

My artistic practice uses figurative painting as a means of investigating the moments of emotional suspension that accompany people's lives.

I am interested in observing what happens before a choice, after a loss, during a memory, or within a relationship. These are often silent moments, difficult to express in words, yet capable of revealing the complexity of human experience. Melancholy is a constant presence in my work, not as mere sadness, but as a space for reflection and awareness.

Through the human figure and other pictorial genres, I seek to construct images that do not impose a narrative, but invite the viewer to recognize something of themselves.

For me, painting possesses a nature similar to that of music. My intention is not to impose a single, fixed narrative, but to suggest atmospheres and inner states capable of generating a personal resonance.
