Andrea Sanna (born in Tempio Pausania, Sardinia, in 1991) is a contemporary figurative painter who lives and works in Sardinia, Italy.
His artistic research emerges from the intersection of the Italian figurative tradition and a profound exploration of the emotional dimension of human experience. A self-taught artist who began studying oil painting in 2017, Sanna has developed a distinctive visual language that combines technical discipline, narrative intensity, and psychological depth.
His early influences stem from Impressionism and the Macchiaioli movement, later evolving through an in-depth study of the great masters of the Italian Renaissance and Baroque periods, particularly Caravaggio and Guido Reni.
